Asiyah has a passion for honoring the stories that we all as humans hold throughout our journey. She depicts each experience as a story waiting to be unveiled, deserving of being honored. Asiyah holds a Masters degree in psychology from Antioch University Santa Barbara in 2023, as well as a certificate in somatic psychotherapy and practices. Asiyah’s mission of honoring the stories we hold, goes beyond traditional therapy, her commitment to supporting the whole person, and integrating practices that promote healing on many levels is motivated by the acknowledgment that humans are multifactorial beings impacted by many different elements. Her hopes is that by addressing and holding space for all that you are, and all that you have experienced, transformative healing can take place.
Asiyah’s goal is to create an experience that allows who ever she works with to be unconditionally supported in ways that allows them to be the writer of their story and change the narratives that no longer serve them. Like an investigator Asiyah digs deep to the root of the story unveiling parts that need to be honored. She values collaboration and partnership, and views her self as a guide and beacon of support as those she works with courageously address and explore the many different chapters of their lives.
Some of the therapeutic modalities Asiyah uses are
Narrative therapy
IFS, Internal Family Systems
Solution based brief therapy
Positive psychology
